As your care provider we wanted to check in with you again and to provide you with some exciting information on new services. As an essential service, we continue to deliver services and have been finding new ways of working so we can continue to support you.
Below is a flyer with information on a service we are offering – social support phone calls. Our social support phone calls offer regular contact one on one with our friendly staff. We all enjoy a familiar person to talk with, or to share our concerns.
In addition, we will soon be launching our new home shopping service, as leaving your home right now is not advisable. Have a read and see if these services are of benefit to you.
Many of you have been receiving wellbeing calls from us, checking to see how you are and letting you know about some of these alternatives to face-to-face services. I hope our calls provide assurance we are following the Government’s best practice guidelines, which allow us to continue to safely deliver services to you in and around your home.
We know we will gradually move to ‘normal’ life over the next few months with Australia’s goal to safely reopen as many businesses as possible by July. In the meantime, our Wellness and Activity Centres, and our offices, remain closed. Virtual Activity and Virtual Wellness Centre services are currently being tested and we look forward to sharing more information with you as virtual services become available to all clients.
Our Wellness for Independence® programs, led by qualified clinicians, focused on managing chronic health conditions, and gaining confidence in using an iPad, are also ‘going virtual’. Look out for details on our website, social media channels and via the post.
Finally, I am asking for your help to show appreciation for our staff who continued to work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. I am very proud of the team and the spirit and determination they have shown. On Monday 18 May, we launched a campaign called ‘A Wave of Thanks’, asking for people to wave when they see one of our care workers in their car or on a visit. You can also record a wave or take a photo and post it on our Facebook page using the hashtag #waveofthanks. It would be lovely if you are able to show support. You will find information on the campaign on the reverse side of above flyer.
Meanwhile, keep safe and thank you for the support you have shown us. Let’s hope we are through this pandemic very soon.

Message From CEO - 07 August 2020
Since Catherine’s last statement in April, there has been a lot that has happened. Following the nationwide lockdown, we enjoyed a brief respite on COVID. And whilst some are able to continue enjoying those freedoms, the situation for many others is much more serious.
