Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, integratedliving is currently unable to offer work placement opportunities for students. We hope to offer placements in the future and ask you to check our website in the coming few months for updates.
When completing work placement, students will expand their knowledge and skills in a practical way and learn contemporary practice while working with older people and their carers.
Once students have completed 80 hours of placement in a facility, they can do the remaining hours with integratedliving, in a community setting. Students are partnered with an experienced senior Support Worker for their placement hours allowing them to gain insight and knowledge while feeling comfortable out in the community.
Benefits of completing your placement with us include:
- 30-40 hours of varied learning experiences and increased knowledge as you experience placement in a community setting
- Learn and be engaged by a senior Support Worker with one-on-one training
- Gain an understanding of skills and attributes for community-based work
- Build confidence and strong communication skills.
